Supporting Littleover Parks community

July 27th 2011

Midday and here we were at Sunningdale Park in Littleover with Stevie Rosso chatting to the local Constabulary, Lucy Care making fruit dishes out of used fruit juice containers and William Barron eating home-made cake from the various other stands. We were all here at the Friends of Littleover Parks or FOLP for short, which as you would expect includes King George V and Millennium Wood. FOLP as you might know was set up by Derby City Council, along with a whole cluster of other Friends of Parks groups – Allestree, Chaddesden and Mickleover to name a few – to promote community involvement in our own parks.

As you can see this event was a great success and we look forward to the next one on September 3rd at King George V and all those cakes that will be there.
