Climate Change Road Signs

Eastleigh, Hampshire

I had really never thought of a Climate Change road sign linked to traffic queues but why not. It is one of the most obvious and cheapest ways of linking the biggest problem that our society has with the potential of sharing cars.

We all know that cars are one of the most obvious reasons for climate change and here at the side of the road are two signs that provide a solution and the other stating the policy of the district council for all to see. I don’t know but I am sure that there are probabaly more signs up in Eastleigh regarding climate change and wouldn’t it be a good idea if we had some of the these signs in Derby.

it would appear that the yellow sign on the left has been produced in quantity and Eastleigh has just stuck their name on it and so Derby and Derbyshire could do the same. I mean if under Bookbinder some years, we could spend ratepayers money on stating that Derbyshire was a Non-Nuclear county ago, we could easily state our position on Climate Change and Car Sharing as starters. the thing is that maybe we could create signs that say all manner of good intentions like:

Grow your own veg and live healthier

Cycle to work and get there quicker

Walk to town and reduce weight

Holiday in the Peak District and save “flying miles”
