Prosperity without Growth - talk by Mike Payne from the New Economics Foundation

Now that the holidays are over here is the second invitation .... please put this date in your diary ... September 24th ... just 3 weeks to hear Mike Payne talk on how "Prosperity without Growth" can be achieved

Bearing in mind the Thameslink situation, it is even more important to have new ideas as to where Derby is going. An interactive evening exploring ideas such as 'umbrellas', 'chocolate money' and 'bath tubs'.

"An interactive evening looking at 'Prosperity without Growth' at a local level. Exploring ideas such as 'umbrellas', 'chocolate money' and 'bath tubs'.

These are ideas and methods used by the New Economic Foundation in creating sustainable communities in low income areas. They are designed for times when people are short of 'dosh' and include suggestions of how to include 'money' as part of an environmental conversation.

The evening will also explore how these ideas could be used by looking at real-life current situations and working through options of what might work."

"Our gross national product... measures everything, in short, except that which makes life worthwhile."
