Come Share and Learn How to Make Apple Pies

10am til 4pm Sat 28 November 2009
at: Elvaston Village Hall (nr Elvaston Castle), off Main Street, Elvaston, Derbys DE72 3EP  (map and directions attached)
A Transition Derby Community Skill Share Event. Come and help make apple pies. Learn and share baking skills. Get together, make new friends. Basic ingredients will be provided (courtesy of Normanton Neighbourhood Board). But please bring along anything you have or different fillings if you prefer. Dress down or bring an apron.The intension is to inspire people to make their own pies using localseasonal ingredients. We will be making large batches of pies some of which will be donated to upcoming Normanton Neighbourhood Forums, and you are welcome to take home any spares. If possible, please bring equipment such as, mixing bowls, baking trays, rolling pins, large chopping boards, cutters, fruit knives/peelers and containers. Donations of containers would be much appreciated.Please bring a packed lunch if required. Come for the day or just an hour.
