Rob Hopkins visiting Derby!! - 13 September 2010

altRob Hopkins, author of the Transition Handbook and co-founder of the Transition Network, will be visiting Derby on 13 September and welcomes the opportunity to meet Midlands Transition Groups and others interested in building community resilience to the implications of Peak Oil and Climate Change.

Rob is a well reknowned speaker here in the UK and globally http://transitionculture.org/about/   and is video'd here at a TED lecture on Peak Oil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8meWY0W40OA  

Since the first invitation went out a month ago, Rob's visit to Derby next week  is shaping up to be an energising event - with nearly 80 people signed up so far.

Transition Derby is organising an event around Rob's visit with an Open Space session (for those able to attend from 5.00 pm - registration/networking from 4.30 pm) prior to refreshments (6.45 pm-ish) and a presentation from Rob, followed by Q&A. Come for the free Open Space if you can, or later for the food, Rob's talk and Q&A.  Spaces are limited, so please book ASAP.
